Band Sealer

The band sealer is an automated form of a heat sealer with a conveyor belt. Driven by a motor controlled by a speed regulator, bags of unpacked material are funnelled into a Teflon heating element which seals the ends of each bag via thermoplastic melting. This conveyor belt can be height adjusted based on different product needs.

Pouches are often closed with band seal machines in a horizontal or vertical fashion. It works with a pair of bands to grab the top of a packet and pass it through a heating element. With lightweight packaging this can be achieved with the sealing bands holding the package itself or heavier items can be placed on a conveyor belt. You can also find these machines with a tilt feature. This enables packaging holding liquid to be sealed with the opening point upwards to avoid spillage.

Band Sealers (often called Belt Sealers) are ideal for high volume packaging and sealing thermoplastic materials like polyethylene, plastic-lined, foil and gusseted bags of almost any size or length. Operating speeds can be set lower or higher without wear to the sealer. Each Rapid Sealer features a variable speed conveyor belt that can be raised, lowered and even angled to accommodate any package.
